Remember us? The TrygKerz Family? Sorry for the lack of posts lately. This blog has been a bit neglected. Can I blame summer and it's super-duper busyness? Because I do :)<div><br /></div><div>Yesterday, Edie helped me out with a little project and painted six squares for our rotating art wall. She did a great job!</div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=IMG_8113.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/IMG_8113.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=IMG_8077.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/IMG_8077.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=IMG_8103.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/IMG_8103.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=IMG_8094.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/IMG_8094.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=IMG_8088.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/IMG_8088.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>This morning, I hung up the paintings. I better post a 21 month post before Edie reaches her 22 month mark. Sorry everybody! This should be an indication, however, on how super busy this month has been. But, I think that's just how late spring goes.<div><br /></div><div>Edie, as you may tell from the picture below, is developing her sense of humor quite well. It's been really neat to see her laugh at her own jokes or funny things papa's says or does (passing gas may or may not be one of those things.) We can't wait to see how funny our little squirt will continue to become. </div><div><br /></div><div>Aside from being funny, she is also pretty good with her words. Last month, she began putting sentences together... her first being "Sit Down, Papa." Since then, the sentences have become more and more complex.</div><div><br /></div><div>As I said before, this month has been busy. We went to Garrison, N. Dakota for Easter, then, just a couple weeks ago visited Kris' sister Kathy in Columbia, Illinois (that's where the pictures below were taken). It was Edie's first time on an airplane and she was so, so excited. She held onto Ms Puppy nice and tight and did a super great job on the flight. We hope it's one of many big trips we take with our little Edie Pants.</div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=21.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/21.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Brittahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18401363955680557504noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007557702365852051.post-15231460907146592662011-04-12T14:38:00.001-07:002011-04-12T14:42:27.687-07:00Edie's First Haircut<div style="text-align: left;">A few pictures from Edie's first pro haircut can be found over on my <a href="http://www.brittatrygstad.com/2011/04/12/edies-first-pro-haircut/">photo blog</a>. She is now regularly putting three words together to form little sentences. She knows what she wants... she knows what she doesn't want... and she's able to let you know exactly what she does or doesn't want to do. My favorite? "Snuggle Bed SimpSims?" (Translation: Mum, Papa, can we go your bedroom? You'll lay down, I'll hop all over the bed and spill your water, and we'll watch an episode of the Simpsons.)<div><br /></div><div>We've had a really long winter this year but over the last few weeks we have finally experienced a bit of a thaw. This has allowed us to go outside a bit more and Edie has discovered her love for water puddles! Luckily, the center of street (which, to be honest, is more like a paved alley) has formed a puddle canal so we have plenty of water to splash around.</div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=20.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/20.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br /><div><br /></div><div><div> <div><br /></div><div><br /></div></div></div></div>Brittahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18401363955680557504noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007557702365852051.post-18862782340739135182011-03-23T11:16:00.000-07:002011-03-23T11:28:20.367-07:00The Spring DressHappy Snow Day to all of you that live in the Red River Valley (and most of North Dakota). I'm convinced that we upper Midwesterners can handle disappointment better than any other segment of people thanks to our erratic weather. Remember this weekend and earlier this week when it was super, duper, nice outside? Remember when it reached 4o degrees and everything started to melt? Well, here is our house today: <div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_3148.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_3148.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div>Not so much melting going on. I guess Edie's dream of splashing through huge puddles of water will come true. </div><div><br /></div><div>Anywho, way back when it was nice out I had the motivation to make Edie a pillow case dress. The fabric (a sheet) and the bias tape were thrift store find so the dress was practically free to make. I think I'll make a whole bunch of these for the summer. They are light and airy and super comfy. Oh, and Edie actually enjoys wearing it! </div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=001.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/001.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=003.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/003.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div>I also made her "baby" a matching dress.</div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=002.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/002.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div>If you'd like to see more, check out my <a href="http://www.brittatrygstad.com/2011/03/edies-spring-dress/">post over on the photo blog</a>. </div>Brittahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18401363955680557504noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007557702365852051.post-57998529454949289352011-03-17T19:48:00.000-07:002011-03-17T19:50:55.486-07:00Holy Videos, Batman!<div><iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/21180850?title=0&byline=0&portrait=0" width="398" height="224" frameborder="0"></iframe></div><div><br /></div><div><iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/21181159?title=0&byline=0&portrait=0" width="398" height="224" frameborder="0"></iframe></div><div><br /></div><div><iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/21181467?title=0&byline=0&portrait=0" width="398" height="224" frameborder="0"></iframe></div>Brittahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18401363955680557504noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007557702365852051.post-37057041339547160702011-03-07T09:17:00.000-08:002011-03-07T09:30:03.615-08:00Nineteen Months OldThis month, Edie fully jumped on to the emotional roller coaster we like to call toddlerhood. Big smiles, big tears, big laughs, big cries... usually within seconds of each other. As parents, we are learning how to cope with these crazy tantrums. Our trick? Keep a calm, straight face. Laugh about it in private. Know that this too shall pass.<div><br /></div><div>Fun things this month? Edie can count to nine (well, with exception of the number four), recite parts of the ABC song and sing a little ditty about pretty much anything (Zippers? Yep "Zip, Zip, Zippers!"). She knows all of her books by name (or character names) and is starting to understand the story part of books. Overall, it's becoming much, much easier to communicate with her. </div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=19.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/19.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div>Brittahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18401363955680557504noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007557702365852051.post-12544646966567999592011-02-16T08:06:00.001-08:002011-02-16T08:13:24.398-08:00Edie's Valentine's Day DressIt's been awhile since I've had the ambition (or the time) to sew. I finally decided to get back into the swing of things this past weekend and sewed Edie a cute little dress... just in time for St. Valentine's Day! Other than the dress is being a little long, it fits her quite well. I will have to work on sewing zippers though... still can't quite get that right. <div><br /></div><div>I managed to grab one full length photo of Edie that was in focus (she's a toddler, don't you know)... not the best picture of her, but you get the idea. </div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_0689web.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_0689web.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">And to make up for that not very awesome picture, here is a cute one of Edie and her papa.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_0698web.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_0698web.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div>Brittahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18401363955680557504noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007557702365852051.post-52908852811140966582011-02-11T13:21:00.000-08:002011-02-13T09:38:30.460-08:00Eighteen Months OldWithin the last couple of months, Edie has really transformed herself from infant to full fledged toddler. Yes, the tantrums have started and her mood is constantly up and down. But she is also grasping language at an unbelievable rate. She is well on her way to learning her ABCs and 123s and we often take time to practice them on our long journey to Horace 3 days a week. She has recently been putting two words together.<div><br /></div><div>Another fun 18-month fact? She's head over heals in love with Elmo... we have no idea how it happened (well, we do... ahem, MeeMaw!). And so it has begun.</div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=18.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/18.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Brittahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18401363955680557504noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007557702365852051.post-35801799872497669572011-02-08T11:04:00.001-08:002011-02-08T11:15:06.366-08:00A visit with Lana and the kidsThe little TrygKerz family braved the cold on Sunday and took a quick trip over to our friend Lana's house. Lana and her kiddos, Stella and Jacob, live just a couple blocks from us. It's been a awhile since we've made a visit... I blame the cold weather and our busy schedules... so, the excursion was way over due. Along the Lana and the kids, our friend Sam was there too. <div><br /></div><div>Expect to see these guys in a "Life with..." post on my photo blog very soon. </div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_0513.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_0513.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_0525.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_0525.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_0533.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_0533.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_0547.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_0547.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_0553.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_0553.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_0559.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_0559.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_0562web.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_0562web.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_0574.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_0574.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_0580.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_0580.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_0581.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_0581.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_0585.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_0585.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_0589.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_0589.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>Naptime!</div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_0602a.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_0602a.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_0605.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_0605.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div>Brittahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18401363955680557504noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007557702365852051.post-46762041916326364492011-01-31T19:11:00.000-08:002011-01-31T19:23:32.251-08:00Monday with EdieSince Edie's birth (nearly) eighteen short months ago, I have stayed home from work on Mondays. Currently, I am technically "working from home" on Monday and Fridays and while I do get a lot of work done during nap times and in the evening, it's pretty much impossible to work while Edie is awake. And, to be honest, that is just fine with me. <div><br /></div><div>Monday afternoons are the best. While our morning usually consist of running errands around town and the occasional thrift store stop, our afternoons are generally laid back and at home. She often moves from one thing to another very, very, very quickly. Whether it's putting her boots on, drawing, playing with Legos or reading a few good books, she is usually always busy. We have a great time and I really treasure those afternoons. </div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_9623.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_9623.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_9633.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_9633.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_9641.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_9641.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_96711.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_96711.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_95911.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_95911.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_95931.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_95931.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_9699.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_9699.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_9725.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_9725.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_9748.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_9748.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_9769.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_9769.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_9772-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_9772-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_9781.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_9781.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_98031.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_98031.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_98091.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_98091.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div>Brittahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18401363955680557504noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007557702365852051.post-69455319172091665062011-01-24T11:15:00.000-08:002011-01-24T11:22:38.143-08:00A Few Studio SnapsMy cousin's toddler, Brooklyn, came into the studio on Saturday for her 2-year pictures. Of course, I had to bring little Miss Edie Pants so we could (attempt) to get some photos of the two of them together. It was (sorta) successful. Man, two toddlers are exhausting! <div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=0001.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/0001.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>Edie trying to give Brooklyn a kiss.</div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=0002.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/0002.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>Of course, I took some of just Edie...</div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=0003.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/0003.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=0006.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/0006.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>Edie, how cute are you? She is becoming much taller and toddlerish and her head seems to have doubled in size, noticeable by the many shirts that will no longer go over her head. <div><br /></div><div>Her language skills are growing and growing with new words every other minute. She is very good at making most of the alphabet sounds with exception of L and V. The letters R (ahhhwr) and Q (Ca-u-ooo) might be the cutest sounds that kid has ever made. And, of course her Minnesota O's are coming along very nicely. Our favorite new words this month? Applesauce, turkey (in reference to her turtle), toast, go (in her finest Fargo accent), MaPa (you can guess), and shower ("shaw-war").</div><div><br /></div><div>Oh, and tooth count is now up to 10 with those first bottom molars coming through. I expect those top ones will show up within the next month or so.</div><div><br /></div><div>Over Christmas, Edie gained a new member to her entourage. <a href="http://shop.uglydolls.com/products/productdetail/Mij/part_number=10454/322.0.1.1.74648.14988.0.0.0?pp=16&">Mij</a>, a very nice ugly doll, has become a new favorite friend and has joined her puppy and blankies as her constant companions. </div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=17a.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/17a.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div>Brittahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18401363955680557504noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007557702365852051.post-32286065869206298932010-12-31T09:32:00.000-08:002010-12-31T09:33:18.976-08:00Happy New Year!<a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=CARD.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/CARD.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a>Brittahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18401363955680557504noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007557702365852051.post-68546186591082696722010-12-23T18:45:00.001-08:002010-12-23T18:54:47.826-08:00A Quick Visit to Santa's VillageThe TrygKerz family was a bit late in a lot of their Holiday festivities this year. We still have a present or two to purchase (crossing our fingers there is still things left at the store) and we just tonight went to see Santa.<div><br /></div><div>This is the second year we've trekked out to Santa's Village at Rheault Farm in Fargo. The Fargo Park District does a fantastic job making it feel like the north pole (and Santa is the best Santa I've ever seen.) Last year, we went out there with my good friend Penny. Check out some photos from 2009 <a href="http://trygkerz.blogspot.com/2009/12/santas-village.html">here</a>. </div><div><br /></div><div>This year (because of our lateness) we weren't able to make it until this evening. Edie has been referencing Santa for a couple weeks now. In fact, every thing with a red hat must be "santa, santa, santa!" She even knows that Santa says "ho, ho, ho!." However, tonight she wasn't too sure about that Santa guy. However, trains are still cool.</div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_6464a.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_6464a.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_6468a.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_6468a.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_6461a.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_6461a.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_6476.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_6476.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_6478.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_6478.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_6499.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_6499.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div>Brittahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18401363955680557504noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007557702365852051.post-67521732753261417272010-12-13T10:35:00.000-08:002010-12-13T10:52:33.401-08:00Sixteen Months Old<div style="text-align: left;">Recently, Edie has bee a little eating machine. We all know what that means, right? Yep. Growth spurt. And man, oh, man has she grown! Within days she had outgrown a good chunk of her clothes and I'm fairly certain this has been her quickest growth spurt to date! I guess it's time for another shopping trip.</div><div><br /></div><div>Picking up new words every day, Edie has gone through a vocabulary growth spurt as well. It's becoming easier to communicate with her and she makes sure to tell us exactly what she wants (eat! go! bubbles? bath!). She is becoming increasingly curious and asks "what's this" or simply "this?" when she wants to know what something is. </div><div><br /></div><div>Lately, she has been very, very, very passionate about a few things in her life... her tooth brush, her entourage (blankies, puppy) and her boots. It's been so fun to see her pick out and become attached to her favorite things.</div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=16.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/16.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a> </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div> </div>Brittahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18401363955680557504noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007557702365852051.post-21006725778872200042010-11-29T18:56:00.000-08:002010-11-29T19:18:46.734-08:00Thanksgiving 2010<div style="text-align: left;">We spend the entire week of Thanksgiving in Minot with Kim (Kris' sister) and her wonderful family. It was a super week full of absolute laziness, wonderful food and some of the best people on earth.</div><div><br /></div><div>I tried to do a super neat collage with the Thanksgiving pictures, but blogger made it really, really tiny. So, for the holiday in pictures, check out my photo blog: <a href="http://www.brittatrygstad.com/?p=1392">www.brittatrygstad.com</a></div>Brittahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18401363955680557504noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007557702365852051.post-7085564983172027232010-11-15T10:03:00.001-08:002010-11-15T10:37:35.927-08:00Fifteen Months Old<div>Who needs television when you have a 15-month-old? This month has been a hoot as Edie's personality has really shown through. She is happy and active, curious yet careful... oh, and if you ask her she's absolutely hilarious. We think she's pretty funny too. </div><div><br /></div><div>Her vocabulary has about tripled over the last month and she knows the sounds to about seven or so animals (including an owl, a lion and Onslow the cat). She has put a few words together but our favorite, by far, is "where is it?," which she picked up while looking for my missing phone last week. </div><div><br /></div><div>She has really started to become attached to objects within the last few weeks and insists on having two of her favorite blankets with her when she sleeps along with her doll and her puppy (a super adorable corgi stuffed animal). </div><div><br /></div>At her doctor appointment today, we found out she is pretty tall (in the 72%) but still a string bean (weight still below 22 lb). I guess it makes sense why she has been so hungry lately! Kris and my costumes were even easier... fake leaves from JoAnn's Fabric hot glued on to thrift store finds. </div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_9285-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_9285-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_9301-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_9301-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=_MG_9314-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/_MG_9314-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>I'm already brainstorming for next year!</div><div><br /></div></div>Brittahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18401363955680557504noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007557702365852051.post-2934951700688952462010-10-27T07:57:00.001-07:002010-10-27T08:09:34.424-07:00Edie's New Winter Hat!Last night, in anticipation of a huge (possible) winter storm, I made Edie her first winter hat of the year. It was my first time working with fleece and I must say it was a great experience. Plus, considering the price of fleece plus the amount kids lose their hat and mittens, I think fleece and I will become the best of buds.<div><br /></div><div>The pattern came from this <a href="http://fromanigloo.blogspot.com/2010/09/warm-winter-hat-pattern-and-tutorial.html">tutorial</a> on From an Igloo and this <a href="http://www.infarrantlycreative.net/2009/10/how-to-make-fleece-hat.html">one</a> from Infarrantly Creative. </div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/?action=view&current=newhat.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/shadowedfire/trygkerz/newhat.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a></div>Brittahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18401363955680557504noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007557702365852051.post-57912351736778877272010-10-26T05:54:00.001-07:002010-10-26T05:54:27.510-07:00Video: Edie on Saturday Morning<iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/16194426" width="400" height="300" frameborder="0"></iframe><p><a href="http://vimeo.com/16194426">Edie on Saturday Morning</a> from <a href="http://vimeo.com/user2677335">Britta Trygstad</a> on <a href="http://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.</p>Brittahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18401363955680557504noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007557702365852051.post-36514772007805365912010-10-18T19:49:00.001-07:002010-10-18T19:49:41.179-07:00Video: So, Completely Overdue<iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/15974345" width="400" height="225" frameborder="0"></iframe><p><a href="http://vimeo.com/15974345">Edie!
