Video: Christmas on the Farm
Kris would like me to tell you we are missing a few key members in this video. The lovely Sydney and Karmen & Steve (who actually make a brief cameo towards the end). You guys will be featured prominently during our next get together video :)
Twenty One Weeks Old
Yet another week of progress for The Pants. She is now a certified rollin' machine, kicking those legs so hard you'd think she's going to crawl at any second. She is also finding more enjoyment from her toys and her favorite play thing is what we have nicknamed "the molecule." It's quite cool and I think she'll enjoy playing with it for awhile.
She is also becoming more and more social, giving every random person a smile. I think we have a charmer on our hands!

Christmas
Just a few pictures for our visit to the Seidler farm this week...
Karmen and Steve with little Edie
Kris and I tried to go for a walk on Christmas Eve. It was short lived.
We also tried to take family photo. That was also short lived.
I love my sleeping babe...
Cousins!
With Aunt Kim....
And, all of us.

Twenty Weeks Old
I can't believe Edie is already 20 weeks old. It really doesn't seem that long ago when she was just a quiet little peanut in the hospital. Now, she's a movin', talkin', playin' machine. Edie is becoming stronger and stronger every day, and we think if she could just lift her chest she would be well on her way to crawling (early, I know, but she can really kick those legs). So far it seems like Edie has a very outward personality, but only time will tell.
On the dental front, no tooth yet.

Santa's Village
Yesterday, the little TrygKerz family checked out Santa's Village a Rheault Farm. We were joined by my coworker/friend Penny and her little peanut, Magnolia. We had a grand time, most of which was spent waiting for the kiddos to sit on Santa's lap. Best, Santa, ever, by the way.

Nineteen Weeks Old
Another big week for Edie. She had her four month checkup, started laughing consistently and turned over from back to front without crying (just this morning). I tell you, it really is something new every week.

4-Month Stats
Our little Edie had her 4 month doctor appointment today. She did very, very well... and enjoyed being half naked at the nice warm doctor's office. She even took her shots like a champ, only crying for a few seconds and smiling at the nurses before we left. That's my girl.
Her stats:
Weight: 13 lb (29%)
Head: 16.25 inches (54%)
Length: 24.5 inches (52%)
And what the percents mean, here.

Eighteen Weeks Old
No sign of a tooth yet, but our (four-month-old) little Edie Pants is chomp, chomp, chompin' away on everything in sight these days. She has also discovered the power of her voice. Her once shy little coos have now turned into these awesome, gigantic noises. Who knew such a little child could make such loud sounds?

Seventeen Weeks Old
Edie discovered her feet this week. For awhile now, we have known that she knows her feet exist, but now she knows she can play with them. It's really fun to watch her discover new things and the happiness it brings to her.
Our poor little bug has also begun the teething process. She has been drooly the last few weeks, but now it's actually starting to hurt her. Gnawing on everything in sight, Edie has a few bouts of pain crying that we can only assume is related to the little bottom tooth we see popping up. However, it hasn't stopped her from smiling. She is still our a happy little chipper.

Oh, Christmas Pole...
I have this thing for real Christmas trees which is why I've tried my darnest to avoid any sort of artificial tree in our home. Last year, our first year in our house, I demanded to have a live tree for the holidays. We spent the entire month of December sweeping needles. It was not fun.
So, this year I thought we should try something new. At first I wanted to get one of those real pine trees in the pot that you can find at the grocery store or Wal-Mart. Turns out, those trees are pretty weak and could not handle the billions of penguin ornaments we have. So, I was forced to brainstorm. Then, like magic, I remembered the Christmas pole. Just three short years ago, while we were still living in our apartment in North Fargo, we decided to decorate one of our lamps as a tree. Why? Because we are odd.
Anywho, I thought to myself, "why not give the Christmas pole a second chance." So, my friends and family, here it is.... the one and only Christmas Pole (round II)!
Ta Da!
And, of course, the Christmas Pickle goes on last...
Edie didn't seem time mind how dorky her parents are. After all, it still has lights.

Thanksgiving 2009
Not too many photos from our Thanksgiving out at the Trygstad compound, but a few. It was just our little family, my mom, dad, brother, grandma, my aunt and uncle and cousins from the cities and my aunt and cousin from Barnesville. It was low key and nice.. just the way I like it.
Edie took a likeness to my uncle Glenn... and fell asleep within a few minutes of him holding her.
